At Your Service...

South Madison Community Church

South Madison Community Church (formally the Ingalls UMC) has a long tradition in the community of Ingalls, IN. The church itself was formed in 1893 while the building and the grounds were not established until 28 years later in 1921. This classically beautiful church with its traditional sanctuary and stain glass windows has a rich sense of home. With a renewed enthusiasm, contemporary style, and an “at your service” mentality, it will be able to thrive for many more years.

Pastor Jesse D. Flood son of Billy and Janet Flood lived in Fortville, IN until he was 8 years old. His parents moved to McCordsville, IN were they managed a 4500 acre seed farm. Jesse met his wife of 13 years on the farm where she came to work in the fields. Laura V. Flood, daughter of David W. Jarrell, grew up in southern Madison County with her grandparents, Leonard and Velma Jarrell. With Laura’s father living in Ingalls for over 30 years, she and her two brothers (Reno and Lennie Jarrell) have grown up around this community for most of their lives. Pastor Jesse and his wife have 4 children: 2 daughters, Taylor (12) and Tania (11) and twin boys, Tyler and Tony (9). They currently live in Markleville, IN. Pastor Jesse was called to the ministry when he was 5 years old. His passion for his family, his ministry, and the Ingalls community is one of love and servitude. His style of preaching is very relatable to today’s problems and concerns. Please contact Pastor Jesse from the Prayer Request / Contact Page if you would like prayer, additional info, or just someone to talk to.
